We can all relate to a good story and we all have a story to tell. It is in the telling of our story that we can find connections with each and our place within God’s own story. Here are some of the stories of St Mary’s.
As the world changes around us it is really important to have a space to reflect. Christianity, alongside other spiritual traditions, has always offered wisdom that can help us navigate through life.
SUPPORTING THROUGH COVID
Covid 19 has presented all of us with challenges and we are now living in an increasingly anxious time. St Mary’s aims to offer a safe space during this time. Our services will reflect real life concerns. We don’t pretend to have all the answers but offer a non-anxious presence that can help provide hope and reassurance.
Covid Secure Venue
We have worked hard to make sure we are Covid secure. Hands: Face: Space – we stay 2m apart; ensure hands are sanitised and wear face coverings. For Track & Trace you will need to leave your name and contact details or simply download the QR Code at the venue.
Our regular activities have had to adapt to Covid. We are committed to building a sense of belonging and community and this is really hard with social distancing.
Family Choir – has started to sing again. Meets every Wednesday 4-5pm. Please contact us for more details.
Toddler Group – currently on hold
Women’s Interfaith Forum – since 2018 we have held a Women’s Interfaith Forum. It is a safe space for women of all faiths and non to come together over food and conversation. We aim to break down barriers and find connections with our faith stories. We are currently re thinking how me may host meetings under Covid restrictions.
Lunch Club & Young a Heart – we are thinking how these activities can be restarted within current restrictions.
Children and families are very welcome. Our current congregation is well represented with BAME members. We are diverse in age and background and gather together to form a community and loving presence at the heart of the City of Sheffield.
