Conference and Events Coordinator

I have been with St Mary’s for 2 years, and I am often busy in our sales office taking care of your meeting room bookings and enquiries. I also organise venue visits and work with the conferencing team to look after you and your delegates, on the day of your event. You may also see me assisting the beverage, catering and Reception teams.

I previously worked in the retail sector for 10 years and have always loved fast paced environments, I can definetly stay calm and collected when things get hectic.

In 2011 I decided to use my customer service and retail experience to travel. I spent 2 years as an onboard Duty Free Assistant for Celebrity Cruises, working alongside people from all over the world. Looking after guests and having to overcome a language barrier was a regular challenge and definitely a learning curve. The whole experience really taught me how to make customer care a personal thing.

In 2013 I returned to education and completed a Foundation Degree in Tourism and Events Management, which led me to join St Mary’s.
