Easter is a time of new life and renewed hope. We can often find ourselves in places of despair and with too many tears to count for all the pains in our lives and in the world … there is an ocean of tears. The psalmist records how God has collected our tears in a bottle. We believe every pain has the potential for transformation and for new life. It does not magically make everything better but changes the ending of our story enabling us to have hope and move on in our lives.
This Easter at St Mary’s we are using tear drops as our prayers and allowing God to hold them and transform them. If you would like to add your tears you can take a moment now and just hold a space and gently offer them to God as a place for hope and new life to come.
