For the last 6 weeks we’ve been running an Appreciative Inquiry course with a group of women from the Pakistani community living in Darnall. This is the first stage of our outreach programme to bring Appreciative Inquiry to communities across the city. We were a bit nervous but it’s gone really well – in fact we had to turn people away. The women have loved it, and a number have said that they wished they could have done this course years ago. Here are some photos of the group, the intrepid workers and some of the photos that have been shared. In the New Year we will be continuing to work with this group and starting another course in Firth Park. The message is so good that we want to spread it.
Our TimeBuilders Christmas Party was just brilliant with over 110 people requesting tickets. Fantastic food provided by Fare Share, a hilarious pantomime written and performed by TimeBuilders members, a carol singing marathon accompanied by the talented Pete, decorations made by Anna and the crew from Sheffield College meant that it got off to a real bang.
This was a seasonal example of what working with TimeBuilders can do: making community using the gifts, talents and time that people bring. Wise women and men bringing gifts.
