Parents & Children

St Marys has found that, both through the Church, and the Community Centre, one of the most effective ways of serving our neighbours, is through events and facilities related to children and parents.

That's not to say that St Marys is 'just a family church' - the congregation is much broader than that, and we are continually looking to include and connect with all people: students, the Asian community, young people, and the elderly, to give names to some.

Families with young children, often find themselves in a new and difficult situation where the friendship of other parents, and time away from the home can be greatly valued. It can also be a time when parents reassess their lives and, sometimes through baptism or a thanksgiving or naming ceremony, acknowledge a thankfulness to, or maybe a need for help from, their family, the wider community, and may be even...God.

Sunday morning

On a Sunday morning at 10.30am, there is either a Family Service (where the children stay in for the whole service), or a Sunday School (we call it 'Light Factory') where the children have their own sessions during part of the service.

Youth Club

Every Wednesday. Loads of great activities and fun, and occasional camps.

8-12s	4.30-6pm
Seniors 13-17	6.30-8pm

Family Fun Days

These are usually from 1-4pm on Saturdays in the Church and Centre, and are open to all children, but they must be accompanied by a responsible adult. There are always a range of activities on offer, including 'jumbo' board games, badminton, craft activities, and our new climbing rock. Look on the Church diary for the dates of 'Family Fun Days'. Refreshments are also available.

Holiday Clubs

During school holidays, there is sometimes a Holiday Club run, either by the Centre, or Church.
